Recently, fraudsters have increasingly been using neuropsychological techniques when communicating with potential victims from among individuals. Olga Medyanik, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor of the Risk Management and Insurance Department of the Faculty of Economics at St. Petersburg State University, an expert in risk management, neuropsychology and economic psychology, talks about her work aimed to counter social (criminal) engineering in the financial sector. Her speech at the round table “Security of payment business and cash circulation” on September 11 resonated broadly with the audience of the International PLUS-Forum “Payments and cash circulation 2024".
