“Whale fishery”. How whaling is becoming a popular phishing trend in Russia

Over the past couple of years, we’ve got used to the fact that Russia has become a country most often attacked by hackers, and Russian business is now the most desirable object for not only targeted, but also mass and easily replicated cyberattacks. And in the latter case, those are no longer just DDoS attacks or classic phishing. Over the past year, the popularity of more complex types and varieties of such simple attacks has predictably increased.
