Russia’s international reserves increased by 1.5% ($8 bn) over the week to reach $548.7 bn as of October 7, 2022, Bank of Russia said in a statement.

The regulator also says that Russia's external debt amounted to $436.8 billion as of October 1, 2022, down 9.4% ($45.4 bn) compared to the beginning of 2022.

“External liabilities decreased in all institutional sectors, except for the general government sector, where an insignificant increase in debt resulted from a positive revaluation of sovereign debt securities denominated in the national currency,” the regulator said in a statement.
