cyberattacks.jpgBI.ZONE and the Association of Banks of Russia have summarized the results of the first year of operation of the cyber threat intelligence sharing platform that already includes some 70 financial institutions.

A joint project of the cyber threat intelligence sharing platform implemented by BI.ZONE and the Association of Banks of Russia helps financial institutions to build effective proactive defense. The solution facilitates countering fraudsters’ attacks owing to the collaboration between the participants, scrupulous testing and selection of data sources based on industry and regional specifics. Participants receive the most relevant data only, with tens of thousands of compromise indicators automatically added and updated by the platform daily to identify a potential threat. The data sources include all organizations connected within the Association of Banks of Russia, as well as technology partners such as FinCERT of the Bank of Russia, developers of cybersecurity tools, the international antivirus company ESET, major telecom operators, BI.ZONE CERT incident monitoring and response center, and many more.

As part of the technological partnership, BI.ZONE and the Association of Banks of Russia gain access to the data of the ESET Threat Intelligence telemetry service that maintains over 100 million threat intelligence collection centers around the world.
