11% Russians ready to get salaries in digital rubles

In Russia, 11% of employed agree to receive their salaries in digital rubles, news agency Izvestia reports with reference to a survey of 3,000 Russians conducted by hh.ru, a job search service.

41% of survey participants are against remuneration in a new way. 48% of the study participants found it difficult to answer the question whether they are ready to pay salaries in digital rubles.

Earlier, the Bank of Russia announced that a pilot group of 12 banks would be organized to test the digital ruble platform.

The Central Bank's request for the opportunity to join the pilot group on the digital ruble was sent by such organizations as Sberbank, VTB, Ak Bars Bank, Alfa, Dom.rf Bank, Gazprombank, Tinkoff, PSB, Rosbank, SKB-Bank , Bank "Soyuz" and TKB Bank. ICD and Crimean RNKB

The development of the prototype is expected to be completed in December 2021. It is expected that testing of the digital ruble will begin in January 2022.
