Uzbekistan implements Interpay e- money platform

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has registered a new electronic money system Interpay, the press service of the regulator reports.

On August 3, 2021, the Interpay was added to the Register of Electronic Money System of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and allowed issuing electronic money.

InterpaySys, a licensed payment organization, together with Kapitalbank will be the issuers.

The Register of Electronic Money System of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan includes six systems now.

OSON was the first system registered in June 2020, with another two added by the regulator of Uzbekistan in August and November 2020.
