Russian Ruble reaches its 5-year high
On May 12, the ruble strengthened to 67 per euro, the lowest rate since June 2017, and the dollar stood at 64.7 rubles, the lowest level since February 2020, according to the Moscow Exchange.
Meanwhile, at 9.58 rubles per yuan, the Chinese Yuan reached its pre-pandemic levels.
According to the Moscow Exchange, the dollar rate for “tomorrow” settlements fell by 2.52 rubles to 64.68 rubles as of 16:19 Moscow time, the euro – by 3.42 to 67.08 rubles (dropping to 66.99 rubles minutes earlier).
