Online sales in Russia grew by 36% in 1H 2025

Russians’ online spendings amounted to 5.3 trillion rubles, and online sales volume in Russia increased by 36% in 1H 2025 YoY, according to a study by the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT). 

In terms of 1H sales volume, the top five products are foodstuff, digital devices, as well as beauty and health products. 

In terms of online sales, Moscow is the leader among top 10 regions (17.2% of the total volume) followed by the Moscow Region (7.9%), St. Petersburg (6.2%), and the Krasnodar Territory (4.7%).

Then come Rostov and Sverdlovsk Regions (2.8% each), the Samara, Nizhny Novgorod Regions and Tatarstan (2% each), the Krasnoyarsk Territory (1.9%), Bashkiria (1.87%), the Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk regions (1.8% each).
