About two thirds of Russians welcome national messenger MAX

Thus, four out of ten respondents (38%) definitely support this idea, 26% say they “more likely support” it. Another 19% of respondents said that they were indifferent thereto.

 

More than half of Russians (58%) know about the development of a national messenger in Russia, 40% heard about it for the first time. For 55 % of respondents, it is important that their data should be stored on Russian servers.

Among the Russian messenger advantages, 36% of respondents named independence from foreign services, 33% – popularization of Russian innovations, 32% – higher security of user data. Besides, 53% of respondents say they like the idea that a single service allows you not only to communicate, but also pay, order goods, use government services.

 

In general, 85% of those who use messengers, do so for the purpose of communicating with their family and friends, 49% – for watching the news, 47% – for work or education.

 

The all-Russian telephone survey by VTsIOM was conducted on July 14 and 15 among 2,001 Russians over 18 years old. The margin of error does not exceed 2.5%.
