Basalt SPO is the developer of Russian Alt operating systems built on the Linux kernel. Distribution packages of Alt operating systems are designed to be fit for integration with each other and allow creating IT infrastructures of any scale. They are compatible with other popular domestic products and contain a bundle of embedded applications (office, web browsers and other programs).

Vendor has lifetime licenses from the FSTEC of Russia (Federal Service for Technology and Export Control) for the development and production of confidential information protection tools, as well as for the technical protection of confidential information. The Alt OS are included in the Unified Register of Russian Software. Basalt SPO’s solutions and distribution packages are built with its own infrastructure and development tools. The solutions and distribution packages are based on the Sisyphus data repository, one of the world’s largest repositories of software packages with maintained integrity.

“There are not many domestic general-purpose operating systems – such solutions have not been in demand on the Russian market before, they were developed by enthusiasts. The Basalt SPO team includes pioneers of domestic “Linux-building”, who have a 20-year track record of development. They create software for a wide range of corporate tasks and equipment, which is suitable for companies from different industries. As regards the functionality of such software and the quality of development, it can be a worthy alternative to the products of Western vendors – accustomed, but increasingly less available in Russia. We started to provide clients with sought-after services developed in Russia and hope that we’ll be able soon to cover all clients’ needs with domestic software,” noted Mikhail Solovyov, Director for Cloud Products at #CloudMTS.
