Dollar dives below Rub57 first time since 2018

According to the Moscow Exchange, the opening dollar rate dropped by 1.26 rubles (2.17%) down to 56.6125 rubles at 10:01 on May 24, 2022. The dollar was traded below 57 rubles for the first time since March 26, 2018. By 10:38 Moscow time, the US currency rose to 57.63 rubles.

The euro at the opening of trading fell by 2.5% to 58.59 rubles to climb to 59.79 rubles by 10:38 Moscow time.

Bitcoin dropped by 3.58% to $29,356.56. Ethereum fell by 4.03% within 24 hours to reach $1,981.98 as of 10:55 Moscow time.

Gold grew by 0.50% to amount to $1,856 at 11:05 Moscow time.
