This was stated by Artem Sychev, the Fist Deputy Director of Information Security Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Criminals use a money theft threat as a pretext, suggesting that the bank client should withdraw funds from the bank branch and transfer them to the fraudsters' account in another bank. This scheme does not alows the victim‘s bank to know where the money was transferred. This is a serious challenge, said Sychev.

At the same time, he said that the level of financial literacy of the population is growing, and fraudsters have to change their tactics.
