Bank of Russia presents new 100-ruble banknote

On June 30, the Bank of Russia presented a modernized 100-ruble banknote of 2022 issue to be put into circulation the same day.

The modernized banknote is made in a state-of-the-art design and contains an upgraded security complex, similar to that of the 200-ruble banknote.

“The Central Bank uses the landmarks of the federal districts in the design of the modernized banknotes. The 100-ruble banknote is dedicated to Moscow and the Central Federal District. A fragment of the Moscow Kremlin’s Spasskaya Tower with the chimes forms the main image on the bill face. The reverse side depicts the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier,” the regulator said in a statement.
