PwC published 2022 Global Digital Trust Insights Survey

According to the survey, 65% of Russian companies predict a rise in their cybersecurity budgets in 2022. Globally, this figure is 69%. Russian companies name mobile devices, the Internet of Things and cloud services (22%) among the main targets of cybercriminals. Ransomware and cryptocurrency mining account for 21% each.

Speaking about the increase in demand for products and services designed for cyber protection against external threats, head of customer relations department at Gazinformservice Roman Pustarnakov said the following.

“The impetus for the increase in cybersecurity spending was certainly a jump in cyber-attacks in Russia. This year, the protection of business structures’ in-house information resources has already come to the fore, and the trend will only intensify next year. In general, we expect that the cybersecurity market will continue to grow in 2022, and the demand will be especially high in the segments of the protection of critical information infrastructure. Also, based on the increased interest of customers, we can state that services such as penetration testing, consulting, and robotization will be popular. Obviously, to ignore such a cost item as cybersecurity it is already very risky today.”
