State Duma supports mortgage holidays idea

(no votes)

The State Duma supported the idea of providing credit holidays to the holders of mortgage of up t5 million rubles, wrote State Duma Vice Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy on his social network page.

“Now the government plans to offer this measure only to the borrowers whose mortgage loans are under 1.5 million rubles. This is not serious. We all know how much residential property costs, especially in large cities, and what amounts people borrow in banks for this purpose,” he wrote.

P. Tolstoy believes that increasing this “threshold” will allow people to “breathe a sigh of relief” and resume payments after their return to the “normal rhythm of life” and work.
