Russians filed 5 million applications for self-ban on loans on the Public Services portal within March 1-10, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development reported.
Moreover, despite there is an option of partial ban on loans and credits issued by banks and microfinance organizations (MFOs), nevertheless, about 90% of applicants choose a complete ban.
If a borrower is issued a loan despite the self-ban, financial institutions may not call for its redemption.
