Russian e-commerce market may reach 35 trillion rubles by 2030

Marketplaces win in terms of product range, time to market, and logistics. However, online stores help to attract customers more effectively, manage their loyalty and LTV, develop a brand, and also gain direct access to customer data – a key tool for improving the efficiency of pricing and promotions. 

In recent years, marketplaces have taken a leading position in Russian e-commerce: their share has grown from 23% in 2019 to 64% in 2024. 

According to Director of Yakov & Partners Marina Dorokhova, the e-commerce market in Russia can reach RUB32-35 trillion by 2030, with the share of independent e-commerce amounting to 28-35%, depending on the scenario.
